It reminded me of the importance of family, and the reason we are doing this whole Vermont thing. Jane is the same age as Beruria, and we had fun having a tea party. I asked her to visit us in Vermont, and play with her cousin, and she assured me she would. We also enlisted Steve & John to help us finish the attic in our new house, in exchange for free room & board. I hadn’t spent a lot of time with Bonny in quite a while, and remembered why I like her so much. The food was great, and of course I ate too much. So far, in spite of our best resolution to do “planks” and “crunches” every day, we have done them exactly zero times. We did walk for about 35 minutes this morning.
We weren’t in the car, so we didn’t see any license plates. A word about that: the rule is for a plate to be “out of state” it can’t be from where we currently are. Therefore, for example, once we entered California, a CA plate is no longer out-of-state. Our goal is to see all 50, although I will be very surprised if we see one from Hawaii!
It is very frustrating to have no internet service. Uncle John only has one computer, so there is no need for him to have a network. People are getting too savvy, and all the available networks are password protected, so we are out of luck with this computer. We can use John’s to get on the net, but can’t get this document or photos out to anyone.
Tomorrow we are headed for the metropolis of Elko, Nevada. The Holiday Inn there has free internet, and we will be sure to use it, and get this newsletter out. I’m sure you are all waiting with bated breath!
